Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a consultation, I have had these treatments done before?

Yes! We are a medically focused clinic, and your safety and needs require a medical review and maintaining your medical history. Every new patient is required to meet one-on-one with Misty, our provider, to create a customized treatment plan. It helps us get to know each other!

Is there a cost for a consultation?

No! Consultations are complementary.

Can I book my appointment online?

Our system has online booking functionality, but because different appointments require more or less time, involve more than one of our staff members, and the equipment and products must also be available, we prefer to help guide you to set up the appointment, in order for you to have the best experience possible. We regret and apologize that at this time we only make appointments via text or on the phone. We are happy to engage with you live or by text via our main number (469) 608-1008

Where are you located?

We are conveniently located in Preston Center, the office and retail area just south of the Preston Hollow area of Dallas and just north of University Park. See our Contact Us page for a map. The nearest intersection is just off the Dallas North Tollway at Preston Road and Northwest Highway. Our address is 8226 Douglas, but for parking, enter on Luther Lane. We validate the valet parking in our garage, or there is surface-level parking available throughout Preston Center.

What do I need in preparation for my appointment?

When you book your appointment, we will need some basic contact information to both send you appointment reminders as well as establish a patient medical record. For preparation for a specific procedure, look further down this list of FAQs for specifics related to your procedure, or give us a text or call, and we'll gladly answer any questions.

What do I need to avoid before and after a dermal filler or Botox injection?

Discontinue use of alcohol, aspirin, and ibuprofen products before and after your treatment in order to avoid bruising or bleeding. If you are currently experiencing a cold sore, please contact our office for guidance. Do not schedule any invasive procedures two weeks prior to and after your appointment.

These instructions apply to the following treatments: Bellafill, Restylane, Voluma, Radiesse, Juvaderm, Sculptra, Botox, Dysport, Jeavaeu, Kybella, and PRP.

What do I need to avoid before and after laser treatment?

For mast laser, RF, and resurfacing treatments, avoid sun exposure and tanning beds a week before and after treatment. We have excellent medical-grade SPF creams to help. In addition, do not use any harsh scrubs, retinoids, glycolic acid, or hydroquinone creams. Anything that causes redness or irritation will cause problems for the treatment.

These instructions apply to the following treatments: IPL, Pixel, Laser Hair Removal, Microdermabrasion, Vshape, and Thermage.

There are so many treatments - how do I pick which is best for me?

It really can be confusing, as the aesthetics market is booming with new injectable products and devices being introduced every year. Our website is designed to be informative, yet it is really important that you trust your aesthetics professional to give you guidance. What might have been a wonderful outcome for your friend may not be a good idea for you. Often, the best results include a combination of treatments to lift, drop, fill, or all of the above. Your anatomy and aging process are unique to you; thus, the consultation with Misty is designed to match the ideal treatments with your goals.

Can I go back to work or out to dinner immediately after a treatment?

Although all treatments are considered minimally invasive, it does depend on which treatment. For injections, the answer is generally yes - but there can be swelling and some bruising at the injection site. In addition, for Botox and Dysport, it is advised to stay upright. For the skin resurfacing treatments, there can be various degrees of redness, so the answer is "it depends." We suggest having this conversation at the time the appointment is made. For many of these appointments, avoid exercise or sweating. If your plans include a big event like a wedding, we recommend treatments two weeks prior to be safe.

When will I see results?

The benefits of your treatment will vary based on which procedure and whether the protocol is for a single treatment or multiple treatments to achieve optimum results.

Injections of dermal fillers can result in immediate results, especially when plumping the lips. Optimum results occur in a week or two, as any modest swelling recedes, and in the case of fillers that stimulate collagen, the results improve over months.

Injections of toxins like Botox and Dysport tend to be immediate and settle in over days.

Facials and peels - many patients walk out of the office after a facial and immediately post social media pics expressing the new glow in their skin. For HydroJet, the removal of blackheads will be noticeable. Peels, by design, often take a few days for the old skin to flake off in order to see results.

Skin rejuvenation and laser treatments, by design, remove old skin cells and need time for new, younger cells to emerge over any redness or flakiness. Depending on the treatment, this can take two to seven days. The Pixel and eMatrix treatments usually see results at the shorter end of the time range, as the tiny dots are tiny scabs that heal faster.

Laser hair removal - Results occur on the first treatment, although depending on the skin type and the coarseness of hair, results can be patchy, and three to six treatments may be necessary.

Body treatments - The skin tightening treatments, such as Thermage, and contouring, such as Vshape, tend to see immediate results.

IV Drips - The benefits of hydration tend to be felt immediately, and depending on which treatments, the benefits are felt in hours.

Do you have any specials running this month?

We try to have a special promotion every month. Sometimes it's seasonal, like laser hair removal going into the summer months, and sometimes it's passing on a vendor promotion. We highly recommend setting up rewards programs from Aspire and Brilliant Distinctions, which allow us to take dollars off your invoice. Call us to help set up an account.

Do you have a treatment price list?

Did you know the potency of Botox can vary from one provider to the next? You may not be getting what you are paying for, because Botox is diluted. The great deal may have sub-par results and wear off sooner than expected. At Beauty Medical Aesthetics, we are focused on patient results first. We do not dilute products, bait and switch, or rush patients in and out of the door every 20 minutes. It's really more of a concierge doctor's office rather than Groupon, yet we still price our treatments in line with other area providers. Call us for pricing and current specials!

Is there a rewards program where I can get points or money off my treatments?

Yes, there are several programs. Aspire and Brilliant Distinctions are two vendor programs we accept, where the more treatments you receive, the more we can help offset the cost on your invoice. Give us a call, and we can help guide you through the sign-up process.

The Best in the Business

“Wow, I can't say enough good things about this place! From the wonderful staff to the high-quality products, this place is by far one of the best in the business. I did the Hydrojet facial with Monica and had me feeling so confident after, it was like a real life filter! I was so impressed by their work, I went back and decided to try lip filler, and Dr. Misty walked me through everything and did such an amazing job, I barely bruised, and now have gorgeous, plump lips that still look natural. I don't know how she did it, by she is definitely the best at what she does! Highly recommend!”
